The River Tay is the longest river in Scotland at some 119 miles long and it is the 7th longest river in the United Kingdom.

The river is well known in Scotland and indeed around the world for its salmon fishing. The salmon fishing season runs from 15 January until 15 October. Check out http://www.fishpal.com/Scotland/Tay/index.asp?dom=Tay

The River Tay is also used for some of the best watersports in Scotland.

The Tay flows through Dunkeld, Aberfeldy and the City of Perth, as well as other picturesque villages and towns in Perthshire. Have a look at the Google map on our contact page and trace the journey of the river to the Forth of Tay just south of Dundee into the North Sea.

If you are in the area, enjoy a walk or cycle along the riverside or just sit and admire the scenery hopefully spotting some of the wildlife on the river.
